Temporary Strategic Planner

Position Overview

We are currently looking for a temporary, part-time Strategic Planner with solid strategic planning experience to bring insight and creativity to relevant and moving work. The duration of this role will be approximately 4 months (mid-April to mid-August) with the potential for a longer-term relationship after that time period. The ideal candidate will be fluent in gathering and analyzing data, turning that data into insights and inspiring internal teams to produce compelling creative work.

Essential Functions
  • Provide clarity and leadership on each account
  • Constantly bring the consumer/customer perspective into the creative process
  • Effectively understand all research relating to the audience, brand, culture and context
  • Stay in touch with society and trends that are changing it
  • Forecast, report and optimize data to form concepts, ideas and plans
  • Provide the creative team with clearly defined briefs that work across content channels
  • Effectively communicate ideas, POV’s and strategies to the clients and teams
  • To be fully integrated and have a deep understanding of all disciplines in the agency
  • Proactively add value to the agency and to your clients’ businesses
Qualifications & Education
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in brand strategy, preferably across multiple clients, agencies and/or disciplines
  • A strong understanding of integrated advertising across multiple media forms, as well as a knowledge of branding with proven experience in delivering effective brand strategy solutions
  • Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research techniques
  • Familiarity with a wide range of research and intelligence sources
  • A proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven process
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Keynote
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written communication skills
  • Experience in organic social strategy, implementation and analytics is a plus
