While a drastic overhaul of the U.S. patent system was being hotly debated in Washington D.C., the American inventors and entrepreneurs who drive this country were unaware of the changes that could impact their lives. But before we could rally their support, we needed to get them to truly understand what was at stake.
We created INO-V8. Built from technologies and products invented in the U.S. over the past two decades, he was a 10-foot tall tribute to the spirit of American innovation. Through targeted engagement, we were able to connect with our audience in a way no traditional campaign could ever hope to achieve.
People not only stopped to meet INO-V8, but they actively helped to keep him alive by tweeting about the patent issue. During SXSW interactive week, we saw a massive increase in social activity and new supporters. INO-V8 continues to spread the word across the country, increasing the number of passionate advocates for our cause along the way.
